Youth Soccer League
Fairhope Soccer Club offers a youth soccer league for 4-13. All volunteer coaches are parents of players. Fairhope Youth Soccer is open to players of all skill and athletic levels and there are no try-outs required. Our soccer program gives players the opportunity to have fun playing soccer, learn fundamentals, and get some good fitness.
We offer both Fall and Spring soccer. Fall season begins after Labor Day and finishes by 2nd week of November. Spring season begins after Mardi Gras and finishes by the 2nd week of May. Each team plays 8-games during the season. (Some teams may have more or less depending on the amount of teams per division.)
Update May 2026: U.S. Youth Soccer along with US Club and AYSO have collectively decided to move to an age group player formation cycle from birth-year age groups (Jan–Dec) to school-year age groups (Aug 1 – July 31). This change aligns youth soccer with the school calendar, reduces "trapped players" (separated from classmates), stabilizes teams, and improves social and developmental fit.
ALL players will be placed in their appropriate age group. Players are assigned to age groups by school year. Playing up requires staff approval; playing down is not permitted.
Our youth league structure groups multiple birth years together to form cohesive teams. For instance, players within the U7 and U8 birth date ranges are combined to form U8 teams. Please note that playing up is restricted—for example, a U8 player would be required to move up to the U10 division.
Fall 2026-Spring 2027 Age Groups:
- U5 Coed (8/1/2021-7/31/2022) Tots Program
- U6 Coed (8/1/2020-7/31/2021)

**Policy on Team Formation and Requests:**
FSC prioritizes competitive balance when forming teams. Consequently, we only honor specific placement requests for the children of head and assistant coaches. Because many friends share comparable skill levels, pairing them frequently results in unbalanced rosters. Additionally, we often receive logistical requests involving unregistered players, different age groups, or multiple conflicting team assignments that cannot be accommodated.
We focus on competitive balance by forming teams with equitable skill distributions, providing an ideal environment for your child to develop soccer fundamentals and build friendships.
