New Tryout Format-Team Selection

As we constantly endeavor to improve our club and listening to certain parent concerns regarding player placement, we have decided to change our academy tryout format and team selection.  After the completion of the tryouts, our Director of Coaching & Academy coaching staff will determine if there are enough Academy level players to form multiple (at least two) teams for an age group. Your player will be invited to commit to a pool of players for the age group instead of making a team selection post-tryout. For example, 2015 Boys Blue & White will now be 2015 Boys Pool. For our one team age groups, selected players will be invited to commit to their team as we have done in the past.

A pool player will be guaranteed a spot on an FSC team for the 2024/25 season. Fall season training kicks off the first week of August.  During the first two weeks, the pool of players will train together twice a week. Upon completion of the two-week pool training, our coaching staff will determine your player’s team placement for the 2024/25 season.

We feel by introducing this new format, it will alleviate certain parent concerns about player placement. Your son or daughter will have a total of six (6) evaluations versus 1-2 tryout dates to demonstrate the best team placement for their player development.
