We focus on developing well-rounded players by improving their technical, tactical, physical, and psychological skills in an age/level appropriate manner. Our coaches are expected to pay attention to detail and create a fun, yet highly competitive environment through committed players and coaches. Player development is a continuous process, with both highs and lows. Winning is important, but not the sole focus. Effort and commitment in both training and games are expected. As players develop, the expectation to achieve results will naturally increase.

While not all players may wish to pursue soccer in college, our objective is to equip them with the skills and tools needed for success during their high school soccer career.  For individuals seeking to advance their soccer careers at the collegiate level, our Director of Coaching, in collaboration with high school coaches, is available to provide support and guidance in this pursuit.

• Academy Program-U9-U12 (U9-U10 play 7v7 & U11-U12 play 9v9)
• Select Program-U13 & above (11v11)
• This is an “invite to play" soccer program. Players must register and attend tryouts to be evaluated. Our goal is to ensure that those selected are capable of thriving in a competitive training environment.
• Fall season begins third week of July until Thanksgiving break.
• Spring season late January until mid-May. Optional Winter Break Training.
• Professional coaches are hired by the Director of Coaching.
• 7v7 and 9v9 Teams train two (2) times a week plus Monday technical skills.
• 11v11 Teams may train two(2)-three (3) times a week.
• Keeper Training is offered 2 times a week for ALL age groups
• Practice time range from 1 hr-1.5hr.
• To ensure a positive and successful experience for all involved, both players and parents must understand that joining the Fairhope Academy/Select Soccer program necessitates a considerable time investment. This commitment extends to training sessions, games, tournaments, and travel, requiring dedication and organization from everyone.
• Practice times and tournament/playdate schedules are set at the beginning of each season.

As your player advances through our soccer programs, the expectations for our teams will evolve to match their development. This means that training sessions will become more intense, game strategies will grow more complex, and the level of competition will increase. We believe this progressive approach is essential for fostering player growth and maximizing their potential on the field.

Competitive Structure: 

• 7v7 Teams: U9-U10 will participate in a minimum of 3 tournaments, friendlies/playdates, train with their coach two times/week & attend Monday skills training.
• 9v9 Teams: U11-U12 will participate in a minimum of 3 tournaments, friendlies/playdates, train with their coach two times per week & attend Monday skills training. Discussion about participating in the Alabama State League will take place once the team is formed.
• 11v11 Teams: U13-U18 will participate in a minimum of 3 tournaments train with their coach two-three times a week. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) Discussion about participating in National 1 League will take place once the team is formed.
• The final decision concerning the season's competition options will be determined by the Director of Coaching in conjunction with the team's staff coach.

Monthly Fees range from $150 to $200 each season. Additional costs include uniform, tournament costs and travel.
