Over the past years, FSC has had a slow decline in registration number U13-U18 with usually no high school aged players signing up to play recreational soccer.  The declining numbers of players has been challenge to field enough teams/players for an 8 week season.  The thought behind the rapid decline after U13, that "Recreation Soccer" was preceived as "not cool". 

 

Therefore, we wanted to create a fun, fast-paced competitive playing atmosphere for all Middle School & High School Boys & Girls.  5v5 small sided soccer concentrates on quick touches & passing as well involving all players during the game.  Click the link to read more about "our why".  

 

In Fall 2018, we kicked off our inaugural Fairhope Intramural 5v5 League for Boys & Girls U13 through U18.  The feedback we received from both parent and players were positive. 

 

 In Fall 2019, we were able to offer a Middle School aged teams as well as High School aged teams only in the Girls program. With the continued enthusiasm and growth of our Intramural League, we would like to offer the same to our Boys program this upcoming year.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Registration Deadline: March 19th
• Open to all Boys & Girls born in 2008-2002
• Teams will be formed by age groups/birth years depending registration numbers
  • MS Teams--For players born in 2008-2005
  • HS Teams--For players born in 2004-2001
  • No coed teams
  • Can request friends/classmates to be on your team but not guaranteed. 
• Playing Format
  • 5v5 with keeper (7-8 on a roster)
  • World Cup Style Game Format with Qualifying Playoffs 
  • May play against other surrounding area clubs 

• Parent/or Senior Player (17-18 years old) to assist with coaching and team communication.  Sign up when you register your player!

• Registration Fees: $ 120 includes jersey, league fees & player insurance

• Soccer Ball Size 5
• Shin Guards
• Water Bottle
• Soccer Cleats (No baseball or football cleats allowed)

PRACTICES/GAMES

• All practices/games are located at Fairhope Soccer Complex. 18383 County Rd. 13 unless other specified 
• Fairhope Intramurals partners with GCR Intramurals during the season 
• Practice day & time depends on your volunteer coach.  
• Intramural games will be played on Tuesday/Thursday 6pm/7:15pm either @ Fairhope or Trione
• Schedules will be posted online at least one week prior to start date.
