What is Recreational Soccer?

Recreational soccer is that soccer program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a life long love of the game. 

Recreational player is a player who is randomly assigned to a team without regard to his/her abilities and skills. 

Recreational team are teams formed randomly to play soccer.

Recreational league is composed of teams formed in a random manner.

What is Fairhope Soccer League?

Fairhope Soccer League (FSL) is the recreational soccer program serving the Fairhope area & as well as surrounding Baldwin County communities since 1974.  Fairhope recreation soccer is a volunteer organization that has partnered with the City of Fairhope to provide the equivalent of city-league youth soccer.

Fairhope Recreation Soccer is open to players ages 3-18 of all skill and athletic levels and there are no try-outs required. Fairhope recreation teams are coached by parent volunteers. 

Additional Programs Offered Under Fairhope Recreation

Fairhope Tots-Fairhope Tots is our early-development program to introduce the game of soccer to 3 year old players and their parents. Our program uses fun games to develop motor skills, promote physical fitness, and self-confidence.  We encourage our Tots players/parents to advance to our Fives program to continue to develop those early philosophy & skills.

Fairhope Fives-Fairhope Fives program is designed to build upon the philosophy & skills first introduced to players and parents in our Fairhope Tots program.  The goal of the program is to continue to develop the passion and love for the game of soccer our “Fives” or 5 & Under players.

Footies Training Program-Footies is a development program for players 8 & under that provides a more advanced training environment for recreational players who seek to develop individual skills at a more accelerated rate than the traditional recreational model offers.
