Fairhope Soccer Club hosts Player Evaluations in May of each year for the following club year (July-May), as well as an Open House in December/January to add any players to a spot on current teams and to form new teams if there is enough interest. Players can be added as needed throughout the year, but each player must be evaluated. There is no cost to be evaluated.
Player evaluations are essential to create competitive Academy teams. Evaluations will be based on technical ability, tactical awareness, fitness and attitude.
Academy training/competition is severe step-up from our recreational program, and it is important psychologically for both the player and parent to understand this.
Player Placement Process
Fairhope Soccer Club strives to place players in the best environment for individual player development and competitive/commitment levels. Fairhope Academy is an "invite to play" soccer program. Our Club Director and coaching staff assess each player to ensure success in the Academy program.
All players will be contacted via email no later than 7-10 days after player evaluations. Please be prepared to make a decision to accept and pay initial fee or pay in full or decline upon notification as it may affect other players, team formations and coach assignments.
