Our soccer club is getting a new name along with a new partnership. Fairhope Soccer Club (formerly Mobile Bay FC) is proud to announce a new name & the partnership with the Gulf Coast Rangers FC coming this Fall. As our club name is ever changing, our principles have not changed. Our goal is to provide an environment for youth to develop & grow through soccer.
What does this mean for our soccer community? Under our current club name, Mobile Bay FC houses our three levels of soccer—Fairhope Soccer League U5-U15 recreational program (FSL), Blast Academy U8-U12 competitive program and MBFC U13-U18 travel program. The partnership with Gulf Coast Rangers FC will allow our current MBFC U13-U18 travel players the opportunity to be placed on teams with similar skilled players and to compete at the highest level possible. This will also provide some relief from the limitations of the AHSAA 50% rule, also known as the 6-man rule, which has limited the opportunity for some players to be able to develop to their highest potential in both club and high school programs.
Fairhope Soccer League, Fairhope Academy (formerly Blast Academy) and Board will remain the same but operate under the new name Fairhope Soccer Club. Fairhope Soccer Club, under the guidance of Director of Coaching Nick Cooper, will continue to support our FSL volunteer coaches as well as ensure our Academy teams continue to receive high quality coaching.
Fairhope Soccer Club is excited about the upcoming partnership and we are confident it will be a success for our soccer community and players.
